Nestled beyond an amber horizon The sun is pulled out of reach Twilight presses on Had i only a bit of strength I would fight the oncoming disease of darkness The garnet embers of my January heart Are crushed beneath the velvet layers Of this fatal sky Diamonds pierce the glassy sapphire night That hovers over me like an ancient mirror Reflecting my own feelings of blue The last ardent flame Flutters then drowns in the ashen sea Of every forgotten dream My opal heart dulls to pearl The rubies stay, but the roses begin their decay Listless are the flowers i left on your grave

Paper flowers

Light poured into their petals every morning as i stood on tiptoe Watching the sunlight drip down their stems like nectar but lately the sun just seems to shine less Instead of opening up to the rain, my little flowers just shrink back in fear and when the sun dares to shine again it's a change the cannot brave.. they shrink back as if they fear being burned Slowly they tear and wither away As I too, become nothing more than a paper flower

Your piano was always unique the black keys were blue deep and sparkling like saphirre And the light that played on the white keys glisted red like opal innocent and fiery but the true beauty was in the sound as your slender fingers pushed into the opal keys It was like the sound of golden violin strings a light and warm melody, that always found me during my darkest moments After all this time i've never been able to forget that enchanting melody of your voice

The warm, glowing sun overhead was a welcome change, though it was hardly visible through the thick snow. I was so lost in my dreams that day; it took the shriek of the cold Siberian wind to wake me.
